Develop Michigan Inc.
Investment manager of Develop Michigan Inc. (DMI) Real Estate Fund, a $60 million impact investment fund making market rate loans with strong impact in disinvested communities across Michigan.

Baltimore’s Neighborhood Impact Investment Fund
As subcontractor to Forsyth Street Advisors, developed program and transaction underwriting for a $50 million city sponsored fund making loans to projects and businesses in disinvested neighborhoods.
Family Foundation based in Detroit
Transaction underwriting for projects focused on PRI impacts in Michigan.

National Park Foundation
As subcontractor to Marstel-Day, developed public-private financing techniques to fund the construction of park housing and other needed infrastructure improvements.

Alaska Department of Environmental Conservation
Served as advisor to state revolving funds for clean water and clean drinking water. Developed standardized underwriting format and provided reviews of numerous SRF funded projects.

New York Power Authority
Reviewed, evaluated, and modeled over 130 proposals to provide electricity to New York Power Authority public sector customers via large-scale renewable projects.
United States Department of Energy
Retained to build state and local development finance organizations’ (DFOs) capacity to risk share with DOE to support alternative energy projects. Assignment included: market assessment, marketing, DFO screening, drafting of a request for information, review and evaluation of responses and detailed guidance to eligible DFOs regarding project structuring.

New York State Energy Research and Development Authority
Served as co-financial advisor for structuring and successful sale of first securitized residential energy efficiency loan program in New York state.

Alaska Industrial Development and Export Authority
Multi-year engagement as a financial feasibility advisor. Developed and implemented both a Sustainable Energy Resource revolving fund and an Arctic Development revolving fund utilizing authority resources to expand its reach into underinvested sectors. Also provided strategic advice regarding efforts to bring natural gas to Fairbanks market to address chronic air pollution issues caused by excessive wood burning for home heating.

Finance Authority of Maine
Evaluated and recommended changes in lending and loan guarantee programs for small businesses. Recommendations were implemented and have led to improved program performance.

Consolidated Energy Design, Inc.
Provided business and funding advice to developer of patented smart grid controls technology.

New Energies, Microgrid Solutions, Shell Energy (formerly Pos-En)
Provided business advice to a smart-grid/micro-grid technology and energy project development firm now owned by Shell.
